Afternoon light pours through the bright living room, where white orchids and a vintage motorcycle lend the space an easy charm. Slender black-haired Sofi Miel is stretched out on the gray sectional in a short white eyelet sundress, bare feet in the air, flipping lazily through a magazine. A beauty mark near her eye catches the light as she smiles. Then Tanya Ray arrives, long brown hair in a half-ponytail, a cardboard box balanced in her arms and a mischievous look on her face in her pale yellow slip dress. Together they tear into the package, delighted to find a new laptop inside, and Sofi's face lights up with surprise. Settling close on the cushions, the two slip into softer conversation, fingers brushing. Tanya cups Sofi's cheek and leans in, and the warmth between them steadily rises toward a tender kiss.
